| Abstract: | p. 70. "The masses of gum exuding from the burrows at the base of peach treec often contain myriads of whitish, slender maggots, resembling thread worms, which are sometimes supposed to be responsible for the damage occuring. The maggots cause no damage but find their sustenance in the gummy accumulations. They develop into fungus-gnats, Mycetobia persicae and Mycetobia divergens" |
