Field notes:
Specimens of the new genus were collected in a Malaise trap and by sweeping understory vegetation in slightly disturbed tropical forest near the village of Huong Son (Ha Tinh province, Truong Son mountain range), close to the Rao (River) An, at an altitude of approximately 350 m. The forest was primarily a tropical moist evergreen forest, with an ecotone of understory and emergent Arenga and Liristona (Palmae), Cycas chevalieri (Cycadaceae), Melostomaceae and some Lithocarpus (Fagaceae). The Malaise trap that captured most specimens was suspended about 5 meters above the ground on the narrow saddle of a ridge that faced northwest. Specimens were preserved in 70 % ethanol in the trap heads, and subsequently in vials, then critical point dried.
