Re: [SCIAROIDEA_L] FW: SCIAROIDEA_L list intro email

Forums:

This may be fine as an automated reply, however I believe that nobody
will read it. We need second e-mail, Welcoming to the list, explaining
that it may be a temporary facility, associated with FGO, giving link
to the Newsletter issue, policies and nicely table-formatter list of
command, something like that:

Action Address E-mail body
Subscribe to list LISTSERV@LISTS.MCGILL.CA ?????
Unsunscribe to list LISTSERV@LISTS.MCGILL.CA SIGNOFF SCIAROIDEA_L
To receive a copy of a message you send LISTSERV@LISTS.MCGILL.CA SET
SCIAROIDEA_L REPRO
To seceive notification that message has been
send LISTSERV@LISTS.MCGILL.CA SET SCIAROIDEA_L ACK NOREPRO
Turn off acknowledgement completely LISTSERV@LISTS.MCGILL.CA SET
SCIAROIDEA_L NOACK NOREPRO
More info on subscription LISTSERV@LISTS.MCGILL.CA QUERY SCIAROIDEA_L
list of the available archive files LISTSERV@LISTS.MCGILL.CA INDEX
SCIAROIDEA_L
to receive the
digested version of the postings LISTSERV@LISTS.MCGILL.CA SET
SCIAROIDEA_L DIGEST
LISTSERV
reference card LISTSERV@LISTS.MCGILL.CA INFO REFCARD
Send message to the list SCIAROIDEA_L@LISTS.MCGILL.CA Your message

On the integration with FGO: I spent some time with Simon, he does not
understand why copying to Forums does not work, but promised to look
into it. Trouble is, he has a lot of work, and naturally this is not a
priority. So, I think we should go ahead but emphasize that the
intention is to integrate both services in the future.

Attached is the list with e-mails from FGO, i did not add a few
members who never logged in. Laslo Papp's e-mail is outdated, and I
thing the second Zaitzev's e-mail is current.

Another thing which is necessary to put in the Newsletter or post on
FGO is an invitation for other people to join with clear instructions.
When we have all that ready we should start.
