| Abstract: | Net-catches in the province of Tessin in Switzerland yielded a total of 517 male sciarids, which were classified as belong to 44 species. Three species turned out to be new to science, 38 new with regard to Switzerland. The species Bradysia maggiaensis spec, nov., B. pseudopolonica spec. nov. and Scatopsciara antefluviatilis spec. nov. are described and shown. The authors give a description of habitat of the research area, draw up a list of species and discuss the extension of species, proved in this area, in Europe and the Alpine countries. |
