Forums:
I added a list of valid species for Mycetophilidae (tab Checklist in Google
spreadsheet). I suggest we add available material in column Comment and
then based on it select approriate species.
Cheers,
Vlad
I have already added missing taxa and removed duplicates in Google
spreadsheet (you all have access to it,
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1woEz0jsRC1WKb1khe0vW_qcCYwgYQeQF...).
Besides, I added best preserved fossils which might be useful for
reference. The only question was inclusion of Aphelomera Skuse (for
Neoaphelomera sydneyensis? Is it so different from other species?). I
suggest editing of google docs from now on - this way we always have the
latest version.

Re: Taxon sampling
Vlad,
Good point. We beginning to move from the point of listing the taxa to the availability of material. At a first stage, we should consider species of which we could have more than 20 specimens available, so each member of the big team could have material from the same set of species. For the rare species/genera we would then consider on how to manage. Thanks,
Dalton
