Lygistorrhina nassreddineri (after Matile, 1979, 1990)
Morphology:Male. - Head. Occiput brown-black, ocellar callus black, median ocellus reduced. Antennae nearly twice the length of the head and thorax together, brown; the scape, pedicel and extreme base of the first flagellomere lighter, flagellomeres with dorsal setae. The first six flagellomeres slightly broadened and flattened, two times longer than wide, gradually tapered, the ultimate double the length of the penultimate. Proboscis yellow, length just under three times the length of the fore coxa. Face brown, clypeus yellow.
Thorax: scutum, scutellum and mediotergite brown-black, pleurae brown. Coxae brown, the hind coxa darker. Femora yellow-brown, lighter at the base, hind femur broadened. Tibiae yellow-brown, hind tibia gradually expanded from base to apex. Spurs black, those of the mid tibia small, equal, not greater than the apical width of tibia, external spurs of hind tibia as long as this width, internal spur one third longer. Tarsi dark brown, hind ones slightly thickened.
Wings brown, without spots. Costal extends beyond R5 nearly three-quarters of the distance R5-M1, reaching the apex of the wing. Sc short obliterated at apex. Base fork reduced, M1 longer than M2. Halter yellow.
Abdomen dark brown, segments with yellowish-white bands at the base. Segment VIII small, retracted into VII. Hypopygium brown, IX tergite with well-developed apical brush, gonostylus without distinct internal brush.Size:Length of wing: 3.4 mm.
