World distribution: Palaearctic; recorded from Russia N (Karelia), Finland, Sweden, Norway and Germany. Possibly boreal–mountainous.
Remarks: E. ovata has been confirmed as a senior synonym for E. bucera by Y. Maximova (pers. com.) who has studied the holotype of E. ovata.
