World distribution: Holarctic; widely distributed in Europe.
Remarks: Previously interpreted as Brevicornu griseolum by most authors (Kjærandsen 2005). Nearctic distribution based on unpublished records. Most likely the species is also a senior synonym of Exechia assidula Johannsen, 1912.
