Habitat:The collecting biotopes given are edge of oak wood above lake and wooded hill. According to Chandler (1974) in southern England this species has probably been collected only in dry woodlands. Also collected with air-suction trap (Plassmann 1979). Chandler (1974) has once observed this species feeding ivy (Hedera) flowers, where members of the genera Cordyla and Brevicornu have also been seen.
